A poem about achieving nothing

I didn’t build an empire Didn’t break the news

Just saw a film, ate snacks too loud

And deeply overused my shoes

No billionaire ideas

I noticed my boundaries and stopped the thrill, simply said "Thanks, I'm good" and let it chill

I didn’t solve my future Didn’t manifest a yacht But I drew a line, said “this is mine” and wow, that felt... hot?

Ignored a ping or seven Went outside (like once)

Had pleasant talks, and I remembered the joy of dance

No glow-up pics were taken

No side hustle went viral

But I lived in the now, I laughed, and even borderline thrived Credit where credit is due: avoided another spiral

So no, I didn’t crush it

Didn’t TED Talk, didn’t slay But I stood my ground with kindness

And I call that a damn good day!

Me smiling about nothing :)
Me smiling about nothing :)
